A complete success with future potential: "Barcamp: Südwestfalen + Ruhrgebiet: Together Complete. Creating Impact."
Under the joint aegis of the Südwestfalenagentur, the Wirtschaftsförderung Dortmund, the WELTENRAUM as well as the visibleRuhr eG, the foundation stone was laid here for a real growing together of these two regions.
South Westphalia has countless hidden champions who want to further improve their products, expand their leadership positions and present the entire region, especially as an attractive place to work and live, with a promising digitalization theme. The area of sustainability is added as an important future topic.
The Ruhr region offers itself as a particularly strong service provider region with its complementary IT companies that are highly dedicated to precisely this topic.
So how do these two successful regions come together?
Quite simply: by first getting to know each other and making initial plans in the process - which is precisely what was successfully launched on August 26 in the innovative WELTENRAUM.
The barcamp format was a perfect fit for this. The following topics, for example, were dealt with in sessions coordinated on site:

Involving people instead of taking them along
and much more.
Much more important was and remains getting to know the local players personally, who exchanged ideas so intensively and agreed on completely new approaches to cooperation in the process.
Important players here are the Südwestenfalen Agentur with Marie Ting and her colleagues, the Economic Development Agency with Head Heike Marzen and Dr. Stefan Röllinghoff, the WELTENRAUM with Christoph Neumann and the cooperative of digitization experts, visibleRuhr eG with various members. The concentrated power was supplemented by Olaf Holtschmidt and Hilmar Kusmierz from Küberit, Stefan Lantermann from PHOENIX CONTACT and many other players.
The barcamp will now be repeated to promote the growing together of the two regions - personally and with a lot of expertise.
